The Ministry of Human Resource development (MHRD), Govt. of India (GOI) has established National Testing Agency (NTA).
As per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act -1956 and the Dentists Act-1948 and as amended from time to time, NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) 2019 (NEET (UG) – 2019) will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in Indian Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.

What is NEET EXAM

National Eligibility Cum Entrance test: Test (NEET), formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) is an entrance examination in India, for students who wish to study graduate and postgraduate medical course (MBBS, MD, MS) and dental course (BDS, MDS) in government or private medical colleges and dental colleges respectively in India.

NEET OVERVIEW

Eligibly Criteria for NEET Exam :
National Testing Agency, has published the NEET eligibility criteria with the release of NEET 2019 application form. The eligibility criteria are the basic requirements in terms of nationality, age, the academic qualification which is given below :

  • Nationality : Indian citizens, NRIs, PIOs, OCIs and foreign nationals are eligible to appear for NEET 2019.
  • Age : Students/participants must not be less than 17 years and not more than 30 years.
  • Education : Student with 12th(10+2) 50% marks in PCB ( Physic , Chemistry, biology ) for OBC/UR can participate in the exam.
    candidates from ST/SC candidates must pass with 45% mark in PCB.

    Date of Application : November 1, 2018

    Last date of App. : December 8, 2018

    Admit card : 15-04-2019

    Examination Date : 05-05-2019

    Timing of Exam : 2:00 to 5:00

    Result declaration – 05-06-2019

    Fees for UR + OBC : 1400 Rs

    Fees for ST + SC: 750 Rs.

    Pattern of the NEET(UG) -2019

    Pattern

    • Total 180 objecticve type of question will be given, in which :
      Physic – 45 ( 45×4 =180 Mark)
      Chemistry – 45 (45×4 =180 Mark)
      Biology – 90 (90×4 = 360 Mark)
      Total Mark = 720

    • each question carries 4 marks For each Correct response the candidates will be get 4 mark.
    • for each incorrect response one(1) Mark will be deducted for the total score.
    • the duration of test would be 3 hrs

    • Languages –
      Students from different regions will get questions on their languages (if selected)
      Students can get questions in the languages given below :
