ITI stands for Industrial Training Institute. These institutes function under the Directorate General of Training (DGT), the ministers of skill development and entrepreneurship, and the Union Government.
Every state conducts it own ITI entrance examination to provide industrial Training in various technical and nontechnical trades or streams like machinists, welders, fitters, footwear makers, etc.
These institutions provide a secondary-level education in science. The duration, of course, is 6 months and 2 years.
Eligibility need for ITI exams?

1. The applicant must have passed 10th grade from a recognized board.
2. The students should have at least 35 percent aggregate.
3. The candidate’s age during the admission period must be between 14 and 40 years.

There are classified into two parts. They are :

2. Non-Engineering trades
Engineering courses are trades focused on technique. They are focused on Engineering, science, maths and technology concepts.
And non Engineering courses focused on language, skills, and other specific competencies and expertise.
